25 Apr Event Report: Cuisine for the Cure 2016 at the Australian Embassy Tokyo
The third Cuisine for the Cure event was held at the Australian Embassy Tokyo on Thursday evening, October 13th.
The 73 guests enjoyed a delicious Australian sit-down three course dinner prepared by Salt by Luke Mangan.
The duet, FluetOboe, provided live musical entertainment, as did WA-GO.jp that performed with a Didgeridoo, an Australian aboriginal musical instrument, and the Japanese Tsugaru-jamisen. The atmosphere was also filled with lively conversation in a warm inviting setting.
After the dinner, the guests participated in a live auction and raffle with great prizes donated by Run for the CureⓇ Foundation’s generous sponsors.
The event raised a total of JPY 1,500,000 million, whose proceeds will go toward supporting the Foundation’s various breast cancer awareness initiatives.
We are grateful to Clare Walsh, The embassy’s Charge D’Affairs, for hosting the event, and to SERVCORP, which was the official sponsor of Cuisine for the Cure. The support of the community and our enthusiastic volunteers made the evening such a success.
