Run for the Cure® / Walk for Life

Run for the Cure® / Walk for Life is RFTC Japan’s signature charity event, held both in person and virtually to raise funds for breast cancer awareness programs.

The 2025 event features a 3km walk and 5km run at Citabria Bay Park on Saturday, November 22, alongside a flexible virtual edition from November 21 to 24. While advance registration is closed, participants can still sign up on-site for the in-person event to support the Foundation’s community outreach initiatives alongside family, friends, and colleagues.

Participation Fee

  • JPY 6,000 per adult
  • JPY 3,000 for children ages 6–12 (FREE for children 5 and under)
  • JPY 2,000 for an additional T-shirt (for your dog)

Raffle tickets

JPY 1,000 per ticket (Multiple purchases allowed) *Not mandatory

Eligibility

You need to register and pay for the in-person 3km walk or 5km run through our website.

Gift for participants

  • Original official RFTC/WFL T-shirt from New Balance Japan
  • Other products to be confirmed

How to register

For individuals

  • Click [Teams] to download the Team Registration Form.
  • Fill out the form and send it to [email protected].

Registration deadline

Although advance registration has now closed, on-site registration will be available at the registration booth for the in-person event.

How to participate

Track your run and walk using the SportSplits app.
Download the app [Apple iOS][Google Android] and follow the instructions here.

Wherever you choose to walk or run — and whenever between 6:00 a.m. JST on Friday, November 21, and 11:59 p.m. on Monday, November 24 — open the SportSplits App and press Start, then run or walk your designated distance. We will track you as if you’re running the actual RFTC / WFL course, no matter where you are.

Instructions:

  • Step 1
    Register for RFTC/WFL 2025 on the event page.
  • Step 2
    Once registered, we’ll send you an email with instructions on how to download and claim your profile on the SportSplits App before the event.
  • Step 3
    Wherever you choose to walk or run — and whenever between 6:00 a.m. JST on Friday, November 21, and 11:59 p.m. on Monday, November 24 — open the SportSplits App and push ‘Start’ and run or walk your designated distance. We will track you as if you’re running the actual RFTC /WFL course – no matter where you are.
  • Step 4
    When you hit your designated distance, the tracking will stop automatically, and your result will be submitted.

*Please be aware the in order to participate in the RFTC/WFL 2025 you will need to have an Android or Apple mobile device with the SportSplits App installed.
