Pink Ball

Pink Ball is the Foundation’s largest charity event of the year, celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2022. The black-tie gala with exceptional entertainment will be taking place on Friday, May 13th, at Conrad Tokyo.

All proceeds will go towards the Foundation’s community outreach programs, including breast cancer seminar/workshops, the publication of PiNK — our quarterly bilingual magazine for women’s health — and Pink Beauty Party events for breast cancer patients and survivors.

All of our programs are developed and carried out free-of-charge to improve the quality of life of breast cancer patients and survivors, as well as to raise greater awareness of the disease in Japan — both in the Japanese speaking and international communities.

Guideline for our Guests

RFTC Japan established the Covid-19 Hygiene and Safety Guidelines to secure the safety of the environment. All guests are asked to acknowledge and agree to the terms set out in the guidelines before applying. Those who do not meet the requirements may not attend Pink Ball 2022. We ask for your understanding and cooperation in order to provide a safe experience for our guests, associated staff, and volunteers.

Covid-19 Hygiene and Safety Guidelines

【Web Registration】

・All guests will be asked to be fully vaccinated by the day of the event.
・All guests are asked to acknowledge and agree to the terms set out in the Covid-19 Hygiene and Safety Guidelines before registering.
・All guests who are bringing other guests will be responsible for ensuring that their guests read, acknowledge,and agree with the guidelines.
・All guests will be asked to take temperature before arriving at the event.

【Before the event】

・All guests are personally responsible for their actions to ensure their own safety prior to the event.
・All guests will be asked to take temperature before arriving at the facility.

・Guests to whom any of the following apply may not enter the facility:

  1. Those who are not fully vaccinated.
  2. Those who have a temperature of 37.5°C or higher within 14 days prior to the event.
  3. Those who are experiencing the following symptoms: cough, shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing, fatigue, headaches, loss of smell and/or taste, stuffy or runny nose, diarrhea, muscle aches, nausea or vomiting etc.
  4. Those who have returned, or have come in close contact with a person who arrived in Japan after international travel, within 14 days prior to the event.
  5. Those who have tested positive for Covid-19 or have been directed to quarantine.
  6. Those who have come in close contact with a person who tested positive or suspect that they are positive for Covid-19 within 14 days prior to the event.

【On the day of the event】

・All guests are asked to take temperature when entering the facility.
・Those who have a temperature over 37.5 °C or display any Covid-19 related symptoms may not enter the facility.
・All guests are asked to bring and wear a mask at all times. Those without masks may not enter the facility.
・No walk-ins or substitutions will be permitted.
・Wash and sanitize your hands frequently.
・Maintain safe social distancing within all facilities.

【Staff and Volunteers】

・All hotel staff members and volunteers associated with the event will be fully vaccinated.
・All hotel staff members and volunteers with a temperature higher than 37.5 °C or Covid-19 related symptoms will not enter the facility.
・All hotel staff members and volunteers will wear a mask at all times.
・All hotel staff members and volunteers will wash and sanitize their hands throughout the day.
・All hotel staff members and volunteers will maintain a safe social distance not only in the event venue but also in staff areas.

【Response when a suspected case occurs】

In the event when a suspect case occurs the guests, staff, or volunteers, we will respond immediately and necessary actions will be provided.

Chef Profile

Masashi Mizuguchi

Executive Chef, Conrad Tokyo

Appointed as Executive Chef of Conrad Tokyo in April 2019. Oversees all of the menus and cuisine provided at Conrad Tokyo, including three fine restaurants, the bar & lounge, the executive lounge, banquet rooms and room service within the hotel.
Chef Mizuguchi began his career as a chef at Tokyo Prince Hotel in 1984. He learned his craft in locations such as the Kanazawa ANA Hotel and the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka, and joined Hilton Otaru in 1999. After service as Executive Chef at that hotel, he served as Executive Chef of Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa from its opening. Over his career spanning 36 years, he has received numerous prestigious awards including a prize in the FFCC French Food Contest, the Grand Prix of the Buitoni Italian Food Competition, and two Gold Prizes in the Food and Hotel Asia Singapore Contest.
Chef Mizuguchi is also a sake sommelier, and has inexhaustible inquisitiveness and a burning passion about food, such as traveling to Switzerland in 2008 to hone his skills, learning the latest European cuisine at the five-star Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa. He is focusing his drive on the creation of dishes that please guests, inspired by encounters with new people and ingredients.
He is originally from Fukuoka.
